What happens if I cancel or miss an appointment?

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment for no additional cost within 24 business hours of your appointment, and we will offer the appointment time to someone else. If you miss your appointment or cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged the full amount of the appointment, or a no-show fee charge of $50. We understand there are times that emergencies and circumstances out of one's control may happen; considerations will be made on a case-by-case basis.

What type of visits do you offer?

We offer office and virtual visits.

What forms of payment do you accept?

A payment can be made in the form of a debit card, credit card, mobile payment or Zelle at the time of service. You will also be asked to leave a confidential credit card on file that would be billed for services provided.

Will the provider prescribe medication (s) after my visit?

The provider will perform a comprehensive assessment and, based on the presenting problem, will determine appropriate intervention (s).

How often and how long can I expect sessions with the provider?

After the initial evaluation, your provider will develop an individualized plan and determine when and the frequency of your follow-up visits.

What if I am only interested in therapy?

Please don’t hesitate to call us at (954) 866-0810 or complete the request consultation form to schedule your appointment.

What should I do in the event of an emergency?

If you or someone you know needs emergency service, please go to the nearest emergency room. If you are having thoughts of suicide or mental health related distress, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 or 988 for confidential support.

What should I consider when searching for a qualified therapist, and what should I expect in therapy?

When selecting a therapist, consider the training and experience in treating your condition or concerns to ensure you get the appropriate and desired outcomes. The initial evaluation tends to be 60-90 minutes; the therapist will focus on your therapy goals, and you and your therapist will agree on the length of your treatment and how to proceed, while follow-up sessions usually last 55 minutes.

What is a Primary Care Provider (PCP) or Primary Medical Doctor (PMD)?

A primary care doctor is the first stop for health-related concerns, routine checkups, or non-emergency medical care. A primary care doctor can help you stay healthy and prevent future complications by recommending preventive services like screening, treating physical and mental health issues, and referring you to the proper specialist when you need more help with specific health issues.

What information is needed to schedule an appointment in our office?

To ensure we can best meet your needs, please have the following information, like legal name, date of birth, address, phone number, insurance information, and purpose of the visit when you are ready to call us to schedule an appointment.

How often should you visit your primary care doctor?

Everyone is different, but in general, it is recommended that people have a wellness visit at least once a year if they have overall good health; older patients should see their providers at least twice per year for blood tests/labs and more frequently regardless of your age if you have any chronic medical problems like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hypertension, and diabetes.
